COMMUNITY RAPID RESPONSE

Rapid response plan to protect our immigrant and refugees brothers and sisters.

What is Community Rapid Response?

Soon after the beginning of our current administration, a series of attacks against immigrants and refugees were unleashed via racist and hateful executive orders. These executive orders call for: banning a large section of the world's Muslim population from entering the United States for a period of 90 days, expedited removal of undocumented immigrants with criminal records (even when offences are minimal, including traffic violations), building a wall along the Southern border and increasing the number of border patrol agents, and removing federal funding going to "Sanctuary Cities".

Mesa Latina, in coalition with other organizations, established a group of community and organizational leaders to develop a rapid response plan to be implemented when there is a need to protect our immigrant and refugees brothers and sisters.
